IS KILLING RIGHT OR NOT?

I am arguing that killing is right.

Firstly, my first argument is self-defence killing because would you want a person pointing a gun at your head while you’re doing nothing. Everyone should have the courage to protect yourself in any way even if you have to shoot that person. My second argument is about killing in combat.

Secondly, in war, every soldier understand and they have to accept that they are going to be standing in front of an enemy and shoot them no matter how you feel because you are forced and you wanted to join the army. They are your enemy, it is to kill or be killed. My next argument is mercy killing.

In addition, killing is right if a family decides to end the life of their loved ones that has a particular life problem so that they can end their misery. They are allowed to end their life because it is their body, they can do whatever they want to with it. If they do not want to or cannot commit suicide by killing themselves, they can also call an assistant suicide helper that is a doctor so you the person who wants die do not need to jump off a building or hang themselves. Instead of that, we can also ask the doctor to just kill them in an easier way. But, in some countries this is not allowed, like Malaysia because it against the law. My next argument is death penalty.

On the other hand, death penalty is when a criminal is charged in court and is sentenced to death. This killing is right because they have killed someone and that means that they took someone’s life and that person also may have a family, children, all their loved ones. And the killer might be killing that person for fun. So they should be punished because of what they have done to that person’s life. This would also show to all the killers out there that has not been captured will be sentenced to death as well so that they will stop killing or kidnapping or doing things that they should not be doing.

Some people may argue that killing is wrong not only because it is wrong in the eyes of the law, but also in every religion killing another human is a sin. But somehow, killing is right such as the death penalty where a criminal is prosecuted when that person has committed a crime such as by killing a person. Besides that, in some religion such as in Islam and Christianity killing is right if it is done to protect the religion when they are in danger.

Finally, from all the arguments that I have pointed out, people might still think that killing is wrong if someone kills someone for anger and different types of killing that are wrong. But I still think that my opinion is right because of all the point I have given.

In my Argumentative writing, I have changed my conclusion several times because it the hardest paragraph for me because we have to sum up all the points you have made and make it into a paragraph.

What I leaned on thursday's lesson was that you can improve your writing by looking at other people's work and what they wrote on my sheet, what I need to improve on.  :)
